Donation of Musical Instrument

This is a first for the current management team of the Mauritius Sanatan Dharma Temples Federation (MSDTF).

Musical instruments including mandira, chimta and dholak will be given to the 340 temples and kalimayes affiliated with the MSDTF. There are also shringis, (vats used to pour milk or water during prayers commonly called Abhishek), will also be distributed.

MSDTF President Bhojraj Ghoorbin explains that the federation had established contacts with musical instrument suppliers on the occasion of the celebration of Pravasi Bharatiya Divas when its leaders visited India in January this year.

Regarding funding, Bhojraj Ghoorbin clarified that the funds come from the Hindu Solidarity Fund and not from subsidies.

“I thank all those who pay their contribution to the Hindu Solidarity Fund whether through their salaries or the CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility), among others, to help the MSDTF in its mission, said the president of the federation.

Note that the Hindu Solidarity Fund was set up in December 2020 to help families in need and to carry out other activities for the Hindu community.
